You quickly pick up the phone and dial 9-1-1. After two long rings, a dispatcher answers the phone. You quickly tell the dispatcher about the missing students and teacher and about the disappearing secretary.

To your surprise, you begin to hear high-pitched laughing at the other end of the phone.

You grumble, “Listen, lady. This is serious and not a laughing matter!”

The dispatcher responds, “Oh yes it is!” Before you get a chance to ask to talk to her supervisor, she continues. “It’s Sunday. No one should be at school!” she exclaims with even more laughter.

Feeling embarrassed, you simply hang up the phone. The secretary must have just stopped by school to pick up some paperwork and then left. You go back to your classroom and pack up your things to go back home. You begin to wonder if you should ever tell anyone about your awkward adventure today.
